Book release–A Grammar of Akoose: A northwest Bantu language
Akoose is an SVO language spoken by the Bakoosi people in southwest Cameroon. The language is located near the northwestern range of the narrow-Bantu family. The book will appeal to a local audience interested in their own language as well as to linguists with an interest in African linguistics.
Language-based development of Cambodian ethnic minorities
Four SIL linguists presented papers at a conference in Phnom Penh for sociolinguistic and anthropology practitioners. The event provided a forum to discuss research, conservation and promotion of ethnic minority languages and cultures.
